Folly Road

  • This project began with my work winning the 'Wadworth Brewery' design competition last year, which attracted 1,000 entries from across the country. The challenge was to create designs for two new beer cans for the company's upcoming brewery. After my designs were selected, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Wadworth in creating the first beer for their new venture, the ‘Folly Road Brewhouse.’ My artwork now proudly features on their beer, 'Evolution.'

The inspiration for my design was drawn from the brewery’s state-of-the-art facility and machinery. I incorporated a geometric pattern that symbolises the intricate network of pipes and tanks involved in the brewing process. To connect with their target audience of under-35s, I crafted a vibrant colour palette that is both modern and eye-catching. Additionally, I adapted the artwork to seamlessly fit both the can and keg lenses.

One of the most rewarding moments was discovering my name on the can and the company’s website. I’m incredibly grateful to the entire Wadworth and Folly Road teams for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

A special thanks goes out to the talented team at Eleven Miles for their outstanding work on the logo and branding.
